Business owners can enhance their corporate governance, risk management and compliance & also accelerate the transition to workflow with clearly mapped process.

With the growing regulatory guidelines and ever-changing environment, it has become necessary to align the organizational activities and operations. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) help the stakeholders to achieve these objectives by clearly demarcating roles and responsibilities of worker by providing them descriptions of their work. This in turn increase the accountability and consistency throughout the workplace.nnWith our SOP Development Services, business owners can enhance their corporate governance, risk management and compliance. This will not only help businesses in training new employees about their daily tasks but also accelerate the transition to workflow with clearly mapped process.

Spurto reviews clients’ operations with a view to understand their processes, controls, identify gaps and suggest solutions to formalize the processes and related controls. SOPs are the written documents through which formalization and standardization of the processes takes place. Standardization offers great value through increase of operational efficiency, reduction of variability and waste, efficient training of new staff, clear documentation, just to mention a few. Moreover, for companies that have operations at different geographical locations, standardization is often a requirement.

Our team of professionals understand what makes a good procedure work and how can we systematize existing processes. Along with business stakeholders, we help in evaluating whether business requires complete new set of SOPs or a comprehensive assessment of SOPs against current practices. Through these SOPs, business owners can do end-to-end mapping of processes thus making efficient utilization of resources. We also ensure that business owners requirements are met and secured in sustainable manner by developing standardized methods and workflows, specific to their operations.

Our approach towards SOP Development Process

1. Assessment
During the first phase, our team of consultants will establish the purpose of the SOP development project. This help in setting up scope of the project where we take a call whether we require new set of SOPs or redefine the existing ones. We identify the key stakeholders and define the primary, secondary & management processes. We map the existing processes supported by pre-existing layout, flow charts and hierarchical list.
2. Development
The key activities of second phase includes designing policy and procedure template, development of current state and future state process maps, development of SOPs and review with stakeholders. We also ensure that these SOPs are tested fully by end users and their reviews are being incorporated.
3. Implementation
The employees are given training on the reviewed and approved SOPs. We ensure that developed SOPs are comprehensible for end users. This is being achieved by us through targeted distribution. Post the training, the employees are audited for the adoption of SOPs and if necessary, provided additional training. We sensitize stakeholders that SOPs are being regularly reviewed to incorporate environmental changes.

We have often seen that SOP development task are being handled department/business vertical wise. This not only creates a silo effect but also increases the chances of inconsistencies creeping in the complete development process. With this approach, most of the time, key information and decision points can be overlooked and thus creating situations where company’s day to day operations are taking hit which in turn have serious implications for employees who rely on precise information in order to perform effectively. nnThrough ours holistic, methodical and proven approach, we try to mitigate the challenges and address the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY AND WHEN of an activity. We try to fill in the gaps between each process, where these gaps are identified and worked upon realizing the operating cost and the net output.
